Del Boy's motor goes under the hammer

Del Boy and Rodney's trusty three-wheeler is to go up for sale at an auction next week.

The 1972 Reliant Regal van, which bears the sign Trotters Independent Trading Co, featured in the classic "Batman and Robin" episode of Only Fools and Horses and has been on display at the Cars of the Stars Museum in Cumbria.

The motor is one of three Reliant vans used during the show's run and is considered to be one of the most memorable cars in UK TV history. It's expected to fetch up to £20,000 at the auction in London on Tuesday (27 Feb).

Jam reform - minus Weller

Mod veterans The Jam are set to reform 25 years after they last toured together - but former frontman Paul Weller will not be joining the party.

Bassist Bruce Foxton and drummer Rick Buckler have announced a 20-date tour beginning in Oxford in May.

Foxton said: "This tour is deliberately intimate and something of a warm-up to our own material to launch later [in the year]. "

The Jam sold 14 million albums worldwide before their split in 1982.

Cagney and Lacey finally set for DVD

Cagney and Lacey final gets a release onto DVD this spring to coincide with the show's 25th anniversary.

Season One is set for release across four discs on May 8th.

Cagney and Lacey broke new ground in the 80s, featuring two female lead characters in a cop show genre otherwise dominated by male duos.

Sharon Gless and tyne Daly headed the cast for the show's original six year run between 1982 and 1988.

Milli Vanilli film planned

A movie about notorious 80s pop duo Milli Vanilli is being reportedly being considered by Universal Pictures.

Reports say the film will focus the dramatic rise and fall of band members Fabrice Morvan and Rob Pilatus, who were stripped of the Grammy award after it emerged that noether had sung on any of their recordings.

The project is said to have the backing of Morvan and the estate of Pilatus, who died from a drink and drug overdose in 1998. Jeff Nathanson is set to write and direct the movie, following on from his success with the script for Catch Me If you Can starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.

Life on Mars goes into the 80s

Life On Mars star Philip Glenister is to appear in the show’s spin-off — this time set in the 1980s.

Ashes To Ashes — also named after a David Bowie song — will broadcast in 2008 with Glenister reprising his role as tough cop DCI Gene Hunt.

Police announce reunion tour

80s band The Police have officially announced their reunion and forthcoming tour dates.

Sting, Andy Summers and Doc Brown from Back to the Future follow their reunion set at the Grammys on Sunday night with a world tour throughout 2007 with the UK leg of the tour planned for the autumn.
